I) 18th EAC Summit : The Heads of State and the delegations break for lunch (round at 1 o’clock / vers 13H )

II) The plenary session of the 18th EAC Summit of EAC has just started in KIKWETE Hall, Tanzania State House (round at two o’clock / vers 14H )
1/ Les chefs d’Etat ont félicité les représentants des écoles secondaires de l’EAC qui ont remporté le concours EAC cette année 2017
Voici les résultats : 1. #Burundi 83% 2. #Uganda 82% 3. #Kenya 78% 4. #Tanzania 75% 5. #Rwanda 70%
Le gagnant s’appelle Tite IRUKWAYO, Burundais, originaire de la Province de MAKAMBA.
L’étudiant Irukwayo Tite, du Lycée Makamba, est devenu 1er dans l’EAC, avec 83%, invité spécial au 18ème EAC Summit, accompagné par son Directeur M. Nininahazwe André.
2/ Amb.Liberat Mfumukeko, Secretary General of East African Community, promised in his speech that EAC secretariat will grant full cooperation to the new EAC Chairperson Mze Kaguta Museveni.
2.A) S.E Magufuli.John.P, President of The United Republic of Tanzania, a félicité l’Amb.Liberat Mfumukeko pour sa bonne gestion et dit qu’il est attaqué par ceux qui voulaient dilapider les fonds de l’EAC.
2.B) While commending Amb.Liberat Mfumukeko, President Magufuli John.P wants his successor President @KagutaMuseveni to continue with cost cutting measures.
2.C) In his speech, HE Magufuli John.P commended Amb.Liberat Mfumukeko for the good organization of the 18th EAC Summit of Heads of State.
3/ European Union EU AND EAC :
3.A) EU should negotiate the trade deal with EAC and not a member state EAC Summit / Interdiction à l’UE de négocier SON TRAITE COMMERCIAL individuelement par pays. Le Traité sera signé par le BLOC ou RIEN ;
3.B) President Kaguta Museveni states that “it is unfair that European Union took sanctions against Burundi without the approval of EAC”.
Le Président MUSEVENI ne comprend pas les sanctions de l’UE contre le Burundi, pays de l’EAC, sans que l’EAC n’eut approuvé ces sanctions.
4/ Amb.Liberat Mfumukeko, Secretary General of East African Community, says in his welcoming statement that EAC Secretariat will send observers in Rwanda & Kenya elections. / L’EAC va envoyer des observateurs pour les élections au RWANDA et au KENYA.
